Amy Chu joined Just Cities in May 2022 as a Ron Dellums Racial Justice & Healing Fellow and currently serves as the Urban Planning Justice Associate. Amy is dedicated to supporting community leadership in public policy creation and institutional transformation. Her past work has revolved around sustainable infrastructure and resource access for low-income communities, people with disabilities, and non-native English speakers. Amy has worked as a project manager at World Enabled, developing urban case studies on disability justice programs, and as a research fellow at Nutter Consulting, working on Digital Equity and Sustainability strategic plans. Amy graduated from UC Berkeley in 2022 with a degree in Environmental Economics & Policy and a minor in City Planning. She finds joy in music and storytelling in communities of color. 

At Just Cities, her projects have included the Oakland General Plan, Housing Element, and Fair Chance Housing ordinance, focusing on Deeply Rooted engagement analysis and education material design. She provides operational support for the East Oakland Emissions Reduction Plan Steering Committee led by Communities for a Better Environment and Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
